We practice exclusively in the areas of estate planning, trust and estate administration and related gift and estate tax matters.  Below you will find a brief description of some of the services we provide to our clients.
Estate Planning, Gift Tax Planning and Related Tax Services

Our firm provides comprehensive estate planning services to our clients, including the preparation of Wills, trusts, powers of attorney and health care proxies.  We provide counsel regarding the impact of federal and New York estate taxes and federal gift taxes, and assist our clients with developing and implementing strategies to properly plan for those taxes.  We also prepare federal gift tax returns for our current planning clients.  Our counsel regarding powers of attorney and health care proxies assists our clients with planning for lifetime incapacity and end of life decisions.  In addition, we provide counsel regarding asset titling and beneficiary designations.


Estate and Trust Administration and Settlement


Our firm provides comprehensive services to Executors and Administrators of estates and to Trustees of trusts.  In connection with estate administration, which includes the administration of living trusts upon the death of the Settlor, we prepare the probate pleadings, federal and New York estate tax returns, inventory of assets, fiduciary income tax returns, and any documents required to close the estate and/or trust.  We advise fiduciaries regarding the collection and transfer of assets and the proper payment of debts and administration expenses.  In connection with trust administration, we provide counsel regarding funding, distributions of income and principal and record keeping.  We prepare fiduciary income tax returns and accountings for Trustees.  We also represent trust beneficiaries and provide counsel regarding their interests in trusts.
